What We Help With

We cover the full picture: wealth management, financial advising, financial planning and investment management, plus retirement planning, legacy planning, tax management and life insurance consulting. You don't need all of it. Some clients come in for one piece, like a retirement check or a second look at an old policy, and add more later. Each service page explains what the work involves and what you get from it.

  • Advisor's hand points a pen at charts in a printed report on a wood conference table while a couple, seen from behind, follows along beside a laptop

    Wealth Management

Ongoing care for everything you own financially, from accounts and insurance to beneficiaries, with regular check-ins so small problems get caught early.

  • Advisor at a wood conference table points to pie and bar charts on a wall screen while a client reviews printed reports, with coffee mugs and a calculator nearby

    Financial Advising

Plain answers to your money questions and regular check-ins that keep accounts, beneficiaries and savings in line with your goals.

  • Couple seated at a wood conference table reviewing a printed chart and taking notes on a legal pad while an advisor points to a graph on a laptop screen

    Financial Planning

A written plan that ties your income, savings, debt and goals together, then gets checked and adjusted as your life changes.

  • Advisor at a wood desk with two monitors showing portfolio charts, holding a printed pie-chart summary beside a seated client, viewed from behind

    Investment Management

Regular reviews, rebalancing and tax-aware upkeep that keep your investments matched to your goals as markets and life change.

  • Advisor in a navy blazer points a pen at a blue bar chart on a round wood table while an older couple with coffee mugs looks on

    Retirement Planning

We help you turn savings into steady retirement income, then check the plan every year so it keeps working as markets, taxes and your life change.

  • Advisor in a checked shirt points a pen at a family tree diagram on a round wood table while a couple, seen from behind, reviews the documents with him.

    Legacy Planning

We check beneficiaries, account titles and gifting plans, then keep reviewing them so your wishes still match your paperwork years from now.

  • Advisor in a checked shirt holds a pen over stacked tax forms beside a printing calculator and a laptop spreadsheet, with a client seated across the desk in a private office

    Tax Management

Yearly upkeep on how your investments, withdrawals and accounts are taxed, so less of what you have built leaks away to avoidable taxes.

  • Three people seated at a wood conference table, seen from behind, reviewing bar and pie charts on a wall-mounted screen with laptops and a binder open

    Life Insurance Consulting

We read the policies you already own, check them against your family and goals today, and tell you plainly what to keep, adjust or add.

What Shapes the Cost of Working With Us

There's no single price for financial advice, because no two situations are the same. What you pay depends on how much work your situation takes and how we're paid for it. We explain all of that up front, before you commit to anything.

At the introductory meeting we explain how we're paid and what the work would involve for you. Nothing is decided until you've seen it in writing and had time to think.

How complex your finances are
One retirement account and a savings plan take less time than several accounts, a business and rental income. More moving parts means more work to keep them lined up.
The type of service
A one-time financial plan is different from ongoing investment management. Some clients want a single project. Others want us watching the portfolio year-round.
How often we review
Annual check-ins take less time than quarterly ones. We set the schedule based on how fast your life is changing.
Insurance products
If life insurance is part of your plan, the policy has its own costs, set by the insurer and based on things like age, health and coverage amount. We walk through those numbers line by line.
Tax and legacy coordination
Working with your accountant or estate attorney adds steps. We coordinate so the plan and the paperwork agree, and that time is part of the picture.

About Financial Advisor Aberdeen

We're a local financial advisor serving individuals, couples, families, business owners and retirees in Aberdeen, NJ and nearby towns. Our work is about growing what you've built, protecting it and passing it on the way you want.

We think of a financial plan like anything else worth keeping. It needs regular attention. A portfolio left alone for five years can end up far riskier than you meant. A life policy bought when the kids were small may not fit now. We'd rather catch those things at a routine review than after they've caused a problem.

Why Clients Work With Us

A plan is only useful if someone keeps it up. That is the core of how we work.

We start with what you already own
We don't tell you to sell everything and start over. We look at your current accounts, policies and savings first. Often the right move is a few adjustments, not a rebuild.
Scheduled reviews, not a one-time binder
Markets move, tax rules change, kids grow up, jobs end. We set a review schedule with you and check the plan against your goals each time. Small corrections made on time cost less than big ones made late.
Licensed for the work we do
We are Series 66 licensed and SIE licensed for investment advice, and licensed to sell life insurance. That means we can talk about your portfolio and your coverage in the same meeting, so the two actually fit together.
Straight answers in plain words
If a product doesn't fit you, we say so. If you're already in good shape, we say that too. You'll hear how each recommendation affects you and what it costs before you decide anything.
Meet how it suits you
Meetings happen at our office or by phone and video. Plenty of clients do the first meeting in person and handle later reviews by video.

How It Works

It starts with a phone call and a conversation. No pressure, no pitch.

  1. 1

    Give us a call

Reach out by phone and we'll find a time for a first conversation. You choose the setting: our office, a video call or a regular phone call. Share a few words about what prompted you to call.

  2. 2

    The introductory meeting

We talk about your goals, your family and what you already have. Bring statements if you have them. You'll leave knowing whether we're a fit and what we'd look at first.

  3. 3

    Review and recommendations

We go through your accounts, policies and tax picture. Then we show you what's working, what needs attention and what we'd change, in plain terms.

  4. 4

    Put the plan to work

Once you agree, we handle the changes with you. Account moves, rebalancing and coverage updates get done in order, with nothing rushed.

  5. 5

    Keep it up

We meet on the schedule we set together. Each review checks your plan against your goals and catches drift early, so it keeps doing its job for years.

Common Questions

What happens at the introductory meeting?

We talk about your goals, what you already have and what keeps you up at night about money. We explain how we work and how we're paid. You don't sign anything or move a dollar. It's a chance for both of us to see if we're a good fit.

Is there a minimum amount I need to bring?

We don't decide based on balance alone. Our clients range from couples putting money aside for the first time to retirees living on what they saved. The bigger question is whether you want a plan and will stick with the reviews. At the first meeting we'll tell you plainly whether we're the right help.

Will you make me move all my accounts?

Not unless it makes sense for you. We start by reviewing what you already have. Sometimes a few changes are all you need, and some accounts, like a current employer 401(k), may stay right where they are.

Can you look at my life insurance and my investments together?

Yes. Life insurance consulting is one of our services, and we review your coverage next to your portfolio and retirement accounts. An older policy may still fit well, or it may be covering a need you no longer have. Looking at both in one sitting keeps the plan from pulling in two directions.

How often will we meet?

That depends on your situation. Many clients meet once or twice a year, with extra check-ins around big changes like a retirement date, a new child, selling a business or an inheritance. We set the schedule together and adjust it as life changes.

Can you work with my accountant or estate attorney?

Yes. Tax management and legacy planning go better when everyone is working from the same information. With your permission, we'll coordinate with them so your plan and your documents line up.

Do we have to meet in person?

No. We can sit down at our office, or talk by phone or video. Many clients like one face-to-face meeting to start, then handle reviews by video.
